FOX 17 News caught up with the men as they were released. Reed declined to comment while Griffith, donning a homemade MAGA jacket, shared his side of the story.
“I’m not a domestic terrorist,” Griffith said. “For all the people slandering, libeling, mislabeling my name, I’m a citizen I had nothing to do with any violence, vandalism, and I love all my fellow citizens.”

MUNCHEL, Eric 30
BARTENDER.   Lives with brother.  Also: The mother of Eric Munchel, A.K.A., "Zip Tie Guy," was arrested for her actions inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.  Lisa Eisenhart, 56, of Woodstock, GA, was taken into custody in Nashville by FBI Agents Saturday afternoon.  A nurse at a hospital.

WORK HISTORY

A person named Eric Munchel previously worked at Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk, a bar and concert venue on Broadway Avenue in Nashville, owner Steve Smith confirmed Saturday. Smith said Munchel was terminated 60 days ago and declined to share the circumstances of his termination.

A Facebook profile with Munchel’s name and likeness stated he worked as a bartender at Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, a company with four locations in Florida. The company posted a statement on its Facebook page Friday night acknowledging that “a former employee of ours from 2+ years ago was involved in the recent events at the Capitol building.” The post went on to say that the company has “no affiliation with this employee and their actions were their own.”

CRIMINAL RECORD--VIOLENCE

Records reveal that Munchel was prosecuted for misdemeanor battery charges in 2015, according to documents prepared by Fulton County, Georgia. The Sandy Springs Police Department captain said that Munchel and another man were accused of assaulting a man and woman in 2013. Records of the final version of the case were not immediately available. In 2014, he was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and speeding and negotiated a plea for this that changed his sentence, the public Fulton County Supreme Court records reveal. These records also state that there are no provisions against Munchel.

EVENTS OF JANUARY 6, 2021

. . . charged with conspiracy after being pictured in viral videos wearing a tactical vest and carrying zip ties around the congressional chamber during the January 6 riot on the Capitol—stashed weapons before entering the building and also had a home arsenal which included numerous firearms, a sniper rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

"When Munchel entered the Capitol, he was dressed for combat: he wore combat boots, military fatigues, a tactical vest, gloves, and a gaiter that covered all of his face except for his eyes," a Department of Justice (DOJ) court filing submitted Wednesday said. In addition to his gear, Munchel also carried a taser and attached a red iPhone to the front of his tactical vest through which he recorded the day's events.

In his video of the day's insurrection, Munchel's mother Lisa Eisenhart told him, "We're going straight to federal prison if we go in there with weapons," to which he responded that he needed to "take my weapons off before I go in there." The couple then stowed their weapons in or near a tactical bag. Soon after, Munchel declared that he was about to take part in "treason" and announced he was "F-cking ready to f-ck shit up," the court filing alleges.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

What We Know about Eric Munchel  Munchel currently lives in Nashville most likely working at Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk bar downtown. He lists his profession as a bartender but Kid Rock’s doesn’t hire male bar staff. This means he is likely working in the kitchen or security. With his connections to others in private security, that could very well be his role there. No record of military service has been found. . . .

He spent his summer hanging out with local Proud Boys and Qanon conspiracy theorists that have been enjoying their moments of fame from anti-mask, anti-BLM, pro-police, and Pro-Trump rallies. Christy Ice, Curt Dennis, Aaron David Gulbransen, Robert Chase Matheson, Matt Walker, Chris Greenhalgh are people he is pictured with frequently at these protests and several of these people travelled together to DC on the Jan. 6.

And his mom. His mom attends all these rallies with him too.
